Super Typhoon Odette makes landfall in the Philippines and surrounding islands, causing one of the most devastating typhoons we've ever seen - just 9 days before Christmas. Many of our neighbors, friends, and family will not be able to celebrate Christmas because their homes were destroyed. Many of our Filipinos were perished in the path of the Super Typhoon.
Your generous contributions will allow us to provide hot meals to the Barangay neighborhood's neighbors, friends, and family by allowing us to:
Hot meals or perishable meals
Prescription medication
Water supplies
We are rebuilding houses so that we can return to our normal lives.
A donation of $20 can provide 14 meals. If you can contribute more than $20, you will be helping in the feeding of 30 people in the Barangay neighborhood. Perhaps God has blessed you and your generous contributions.
We have survived, but only with God's help: we will continue to do everything we can to support our neighbors in the Barangay neighborhood.

My name is Christ Jane Ruloma. I’m a native of Mandaue City in the Barangay neighborhood which is part of the the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.
I want to thank Robert Ferguson for his generous contribution to helping us get through this disastrous situation that was unforeseeable for all of us. Many loved ones were lost in this disaster, homes full of priceless memories were destroyed, and businesses were washed away.
Our thoughts are with those who have been harmed. Despite this, there is much to be thankful for. We are grateful that more lives were not lost as a result of these devastating natural disasters. Every human life lost is tragic, but the situation could have been far worse. Perhaps it was just the unpredictability of nature that saved us, or perhaps we're getting better at preparing for disasters.
We, the Barangays, are grateful to people like Robert Ferguson and his friends for taking unimaginable risks to save us and care for our Barangay neighbors. I'm grateful to the kind people who gave up their valuable time to assist those in need. I hope that their communal spirit will spread to periods when survivors can gradually rebuild their lives and communities.
